We were scientists as the Tulip Journey from Thanksgiving Point came to visit us. It was a great kick off for our study of living and non living things. We celebrated Lucas' birthday. We celebrated Alex's birthday with a fun and creative Thanksgiving treat.

We spent lots of math time working on comparing fractions this week. We cheered at the Reading Rally. We were extra excited for the winners because one was Finn's first grade reading buddy. We were busy learning with Joe and Terry during Junior Achievement. We measured and then measured some more during Hands on Science. We finished painting our owls during art.
This week we had indoor recess and created some fun things. We participated in the Guinness Book of Records stacking competition. We sang Happy Birthday to Finn and ate donuts.

Our Math Coach came in to teach us a fun game. We had to use order of operations to play. Simple Machines was the topic of our Hands on Science!

We wore red, super hero outfits, crazy socks, pajamas, and costumes in honor of making good and healthy choices. We earned our Eyeballs Party from great classroom behavior. Our Halloween Party and parade were awesome! Students learned about Halloween type traditions in England, Mexico, Japan, Hong Kong, and Belgium. |
