HAPPY THANKSGIVING! We had a turkey hunt, a reward for good behavior. We wrote some poetry. We even performed some poetry. We took the mannequin challenge and tried to capture active learning in our classroom.

Here are our Super Readers from October. Our reading goal in November is to have everyone in our class read 25+ days. Remember to read during our long Thanksgiving break! On Friday we had a special guest come to present Junior Achievement. Ms. Mary Jane also was a guest this week. We learned about the brain. We spent many hours working with fractions. Our goal is to show them 2 ways: one with a picture and one on the number line. We spent a lot of time reading poems! If you're lucky a certain third grader might read one to you!
We got to celebrate Malia and Sam's birthday. We learned about measuring during Hands on Science. We began learning about fractions. Check out these kids who had PERFECT attendance in October:
The costumes were awesome on Halloween! We traveled around the world in our classroom to learn about other spooky holidays. A HUGE thanks to all the parents who came and ran the centers! We made bird feeders. The question guiding our experiment is: Will we see fewer birds as the temperature gets colder? |
