We celebrated Elam's, Estela's and Dash's birthdays! We learned about gallons, quarts, pints, and cups. We used our measuring skills to make a decoration. We have recently read nonfiction stories about Earth. Our ornaments show our hope for peace on Earth.

We celebrated with Balee on her 9th birthday! We cheered for our November Super Readers and kids who had 100% attendance during November. Third grade predators from Ms. Robert's class tried to find our camou-bugs. We combined art and fractions to make fraction pictures. Did you know that one person can change the way you think? It just takes bravery and hard work. First, Mary Bethune. Mary made a school out of very little but used a lot of effort. May was able to help so many African Americans learn. Emma Wilson and and Mary Cassman helped her got to school. That made them a leader. Next, that also brings me to Abe Lincoln who was also a leader. Because of Abe, Jane met him and read under a tree. Abe told her reading would change her life and it did in amazement. Abe was as nice as my teacher when he donated his favorite book since she just got so much better. Last, Louis. Louis needed lots of courage even though he was nervous, he made a non temporary difference. He actually went into a white's only library. Louis followed Abe's example of being a good leader and standing up for people. Therefore, now you see that one person can change the way you think by themselves.
Fallon It was fun to celebrate Grace's birthday on Monday. We also loved celebrating Adelaide's birthday on Friday. We learned about density during Hands On Science. The Rotary Club served us by bringing a dictionary to each third grader. We used Venn Diagrams alot this week as we were comparing and contrasting. We compared fractions and found equivalent fractions. We enjoyed snowy recesses.
